AYCOCK: What scene are you in? Because I’m going to watch the movie
and pause it on that scene.
PHILBRICK: Well, it’s a quick scene. I’m a Quaker, and there are about
twenty of us. We’re reading a prayer at the waterfront as the Essex crew
are rowing out to the ship. I’m on the front row. I don’t have my glasses, I
have a long wig on, I look like my mother, and I’m dressed like a Quaker.
[Laughs.] I am not an actor.
